Keri Mills Fine Art

Keri Mills Artist Statement

Working with an intangible medium allows for easier transfer of spiritual and emotional aspects hidden within a personal reality. I use photographic and digital processes, a medium of information (bits of light and time that are encoded). Expressing visceral reflections of our world, the images are taken from the mind and soul. With a return to concepts of beauty and the figurative style of the Mannerists, I embrace modern technology to create a retrospect image. Using painting skills to composite the digital image, I construct a ‘painting of photographs’, or rather a photograph that interacts like a painting.
